AEW Star Removed From Match Due To Legitimate Injury AEW

An AEW star has been removed from their match on tonight’s AEW Summer Blockbuster special episode of Dynamite.

On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the trio of Kevin Knight, Speedball Mike Bailey and Komander picked up the victory over LFI.

After the match, the Hurt Syndicate came to the ring, with Knight and Bailey looking to earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

MVP announced that the trio of Komander, Knight and Bailey would face Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MJF on tonight’s Summer Blockbuster special episode of Dynamite.

However, the match didn’t go down as advertised, as an angle aired on the show with the Hurt Syndicate attacking Komander backstage, and MJF stealing his mask.

It was announced that Komander would not be able to compete in the Trios match later in the night, with CMLL’s Mascara Dorada replacing him in the match.

The reason for Komander’s replacing in the match was due to a legitimate injury to Komander, per Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp.

We wish Komander all the best and a full recovery from his injury.
