AEW Star Replaced In Continental Classic Tournament AEW

An AEW star has been officially pulled from the Continental Classic due to injury, with their replacement in the tournament confirmed.

With Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite set to see the second round of Continental Classic bouts take place, Tony Khan has taken to social media to announce a major change to line-up in the Gold League of the tournament.

Posting on Twitter, Khan revealed that the Bang Bang Gang’s Juice Robinson has been officially pulled from the Continental Classic, being replaced by Komander.

Khan wrote:

Due to injury, Juice Robinson cannot complete the #AEWContinentalClassic.

Aiming to prove that he can hang with the world’s very best, high flying rising star @KomandercrMX will join the field as Gold League first alternate, + the upcoming schedule will be adjusted accordingly.

Robinson faced off with Will Ospreay on Saturday’s AEW Collision in the first round of the Gold League, however, it was reported afterwards that Robinson had suffered an injury in the bout.

Dave Meltzer would then note on Wrestling Observer Radio that Robinson was “fearing a broken foot”, with the AEW star being spotted on crutches whilst attending WrestleCade over the weekend.

AEW has yet to officially confirm the nature of Robinson’s injury, but we will provide further updates when more information is learned.
