AEW star and former WWE World Champion Paul Wight, formerly known as Big Show, has discussed his retirement plans.
Paul Wight last wrestled on AEW television on the November 15, 2023 episode of Dynamite, where he took part in the “Like A Dragon” Street Fight.
The last time fans saw him wrestle was during the Jericho Cruise 2024 in a dark match. Wight has been out of action due to injury issues, such as knee and hip replacement.
In an interview with Fightful, Paul Wight spoke about wanting a last run in AEW before hanging up his boots for the end of his career. He said:
“I kind of want to go out like Sting did, have a nice little run, have some great matches, work with some of this amazing young talent we have in AEW, and then slide out.”
“That goal accomplished and then I’ll move to New York and become a world-famous playwright. That’s a joke because I can’t spell.”
It remains to be seen when Paul Wight will return to in-ring action at the time of this writing.
