An AEW star has made their return during today’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view at The O2 in London, England.
On the Zero Hour pre-show, an eight-woman tag match saw the team of Megan Bayne and the Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue) defeat Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander and Queen Aminata.
However, during the match, Thekla and Aminata brawled away from the ring and up the ramp, essentially leaving the match.
Later during the main show, after Zack Sabre Jr had retained the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Nigel McGuinness, Thekla and Aminata were shown backstage still brawling.
Their fight made its way into the arena on the ramp, with Hart and Blue assisting Thekla to make it three-on-one.
However, a save was made for Aminata by the returning Jamie Hayter, who chased the Triangle of Madness away.
Hayter had been off AEW TV since she was attacked by Thekla in Thekla’s debut appearance in late May.
Hayter is a former AEW Women’s World Champion, holding the title for 191 days from November 2022 to May 2023.
