An AEW star has revealed that MJF handpicked everyone in The Firm stable.
At AEW All Out 2022, Maxwell Jacob Friedman made his return by being handed the poker chip as The Joker entrant in the Casino Ladder Match by Stokely Hathaway.
Hathaway alongside his clients took out all the participants before MJF’s arrival. On the following AEW Dynamite, the group was introduced as The Firm with Hathaway saying they are a stable for hire in regards to their relationship with Friedman.
Speaking with Comicbook, AEW star Ethan Page discussed the new faction and revealed that MJF handpicked everyone in the group.
He said:
“He handpicked everybody, this was a very much a project that had MJF’s fingerprints all over it. I’ve had more opportunities to speak. I’ve been put in a spotlight more. Stokely Hathaway will happily take a back seat to Ethan Page. I don’t know if Dan Lambert and Scorpio Sky would say the same.”
Page continued on to discuss his relationship with Friedman after MJF said “All Ego” was one of the most underrated wrestlers on the roster, saying:
“It’s a great pat on the back. He’s an opinion that people value, especially in the professional wrestling world, and he’s the biggest star in All Elite Wrestling. To have the biggest dog say your name is always a good thing.”
Maxwell Jacob Friedman will face Wheeler Yuta in the opening match on the October 5 edition of AEW Dynamite for their 3 Year Anniversary Show.
