One of the latest stars to sign with All Elite Wrestling has been “All Ego” Ethan Page. Page debuted at AEW Revolution where he failed to win the Face of the Revolution ladder match.
Now, he has opened up about why he chose to sign with AEW and not WWE. In short, he named AEW’s creative freedom and lack of social media restrictions as factors. Here is the quote from his YouTube Q&A, courtesy of Wrestling News:
“Interesting question, I’m going to give you a very lazy answer. I wanted to go to AEW from the chance that I even thought about moving from one place to another. AEW was always at the top of my list. I would not be able to do this stream with you guys, I would not be able to answer these crazy-ass questions, I would not be able to do my vlog, Twitch, or any outside projects like that.
I think they give the talent some really good creative freedom as well to be who they are and who they want to be. You’re going to see ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page. I really had a hand in designing my first t-shirt for AEW. Yeah, you’re going to see sprinkles of my creativity throughout my AEW career. It’s more of a collaboration, which is awesome.”
Ethan Page has since made his AEW Dynamite debut where he soundly defeated Lee Johnson.
