Christopher Daniels Says ‘Everything Is Going Fine’ In AEW AEW

The backstage drama in All Elite Wrestling over the past few weeks has been the talk of the wrestling world, with a lot of people more interested in what is going on behind the curtain than in front of it.

The issues led to Tony Khan calling an emergency mandatory talent meeting backstage at last week’s Dynamite in Cleveland, but if you ask one certain AEW star, everything is fine.

Christopher Daniels was in Gamescom in Germany this past week with various other AEW stars, where he was asked about the reports of backstage issues in the company on the Headlock Wrestling Podcast.

Daniels said:

“The wrestling internet sees what they see from the outside. Everything is going fine in AEW. We just promoted Tony Schiavone, QT Marshall, Sonjay Dutt, and Pat Buck. We’re tightening the ship and trying to get everything in a good place for us. Right now, we have a successful television show. Dynamite is doing very well for TBS, Rampage is doing well for TNT. Hopefully, the international fans are enjoying it as well. Everything is going very well for us, we’re very happy for the success we’ve had and we’re going upwards and onwards,”

Daniels was then asked about the future of his in-ring career, as he is currently one of the heads of talent relations in the company. Daniels said that he hopes to continue to bring a lot more to AEW, whether in the ring or out of it.

He said:

“I hope I can do more in the ring, but either way, I’m going to be doing a lot for AEW, whether it’s in the ring or behind the scenes,”

Daniels last wrestled for AEW at the Fyter Fest Night Two episode of Rampage, losing to Jay Lethal, though he was a part of several matches last week at Gamescom.
