AEW Star Seemingly Announces Retirement AEW

UPDATE: Austin and Colten Gunn have now commented – click here to read more.

An AEW star seemingly announced their retirement on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision (July 22).

The big move came after a championship bout on the Saturday night show.

House of Black put their AEW Trios Championship on the line in a match against The Acclaimed on tonight’s edition of AEW Collision (July 22).

While the champs made their entrance first, Max Caster from the Acclaimed wasn’t able to reveal what line he was planning on rhyming with ‘nauseous’ in a bar about Buddy Matthews, because the House of Black member threw a big flying knee Caster’s way mid-rap to start off the match.

In the end, Malakai Black would get the pinfall victory over ‘Daddy Ass’ Billy Gunn. Black and Matthews both paused to say something to Gunn, who after the match, sat in the corner of the ring, unlacing his boots.

Gunn eventually took the boots off and left them in the middle of the ring, signifying his in-ring career could be over.

While the crowd chanted, “You still got it,” Gunn seemed to disagree, leaving the ring in his socks and pushing past Anthony Bowens and Max Caster to make his exit.

We’ll let you know if there are any further updates on the situation.

Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Collision, the show kicked off with an in-ring segment featuring CM Punk and Ricky Starks. You can click here to read more about that.
