An AEW star says he is open for a “slow rebuild” in the company.

In 2020, Lance Archer signed with All Elite Wrestling after previous stints with NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling.

Archer came in with plenty of hype and quickly aligned with WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts. He feuded with Cody Rhodes to determine the first TNT Championship and has had big AEW World Title matches against Jon Moxley and Hangman Page.

Despite accomplishing so much in the company, “The Murderhawk Monster” feels aimless at the moment.

Speaking with Busted Open Radio, Lance Archer commented on his recent promo in New Japan where he called out both AEW and NJPW for not using him how he thinks he should be used. He said:

“I have created a base to who I am in the company, but things have gone awry. I’m ok with the idea of a slow rebuild.”

“I’m ok with kind of reinventing myself and finding my place within the company to get back to fighting for those championships.”

Regarding his recent promo, Archer stated:

“Everyone lets something out here and there once in a while. There’s a little bit of angst coming out in that one.”

“Like I said in the promo, I just come to kick ass. I don’t come to kiss ass. I think everyone can see I do my part except to other people.”

Archer noted that he was grateful for his AEW job that allowed him to work for NJPW and other promotions, but he also knows what he is capable of and wants an opportunity to show it.

Adding that frustration isn’t just with one group like All Elite Wrestling, he said:

“I just know what I could be doing and should be doing. I’m ready for it to happen and I’m ready for it to happen now.”

“I want to be there kicking ass with everyone who is on (AEW TV) and one of the big names everyone is paying attention to.”

Lance Archer worked four AEW Dark and Elevation matches in September and October before losing to Ricky Starks in the World Title Eliminator Tournament on the November 18 edition of AEW Rampage.
