An AEW star believes it’s time for her to start having storylines with top stars like Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.
Jade Cargill signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2020, making her in-ring debut alongside NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal in a win over Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on the March 3, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Cargill has gone on a dominant run and a lengthy winning streak. In 2022, she became the inaugural TBS Champion by defeating Ruby Soho on the January 5 edition of AEW Dynamite.
On the February 1, 2023 episode of Dynamite, Cargill picked up her 50th win by defeating Red Velvet. However, it doesn’t seem like Jade wants to settle with just the TBS Championship for long.
Speaking with Liam Crowley of ComicBook.com, Cargill expressed her interest in eventually challenging for the AEW Women’s World Championship. She said:
“I’m just going to give these ladies some time before I want to go for the big belt. That’s something that I want to accomplish. I want to go for the main belt, I know that’s for sure.”
Pointing out Britt Baker, Saraya and Toni Storm as stars she would like to work with, Jade said:
“I wouldn’t say so soon because right now I’m just focused on getting reps and getting better. Having longer matches, better feuds, and actual storylines.”
“However, I believe it’s time for me to start having storylines with a Britt Baker, or Jamie Hayter, or a Saraya, or Toni Storm and working those storylines.”
“I know I can do it. I have the charisma to do it. If you stand me next to any of these ladies, the work, the look and the aura of who I am speaks for itself.”
