AEW Star Stretchered Out Of Collision Taping AEW

An AEW star was stretchered out of tonight’s Collision: Homecoming taping in Jacksonville, Florida (October 8).

The Saturday, October 11 episode of AEW Collision was pre-taped tonight at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, with one of the advertised matches for the show pitting The Don Callis Family’s Josh Alexander against Kota Ibushi.

According to those in attendance at the taping, during the match Ibushi suffered a fall from the turnbuckle to the outside that resulted in the Japanese star receiving medical attention.

As captured on video by a Twitter user at the event (see below) Ibushi was then stretchered out of Daily’s Place, with Tony Khan later addressing the crowd after the incident, thanking them for being respectful following the injury and leading an “Ibushi” chant.

The nature of Ibushi’s apparent injury is not yet known at this time, but we will provide updates on his status as they become known.

The match was Ibushi’s first since the Lights Out Steel Cage at AEW Forbidden Door 2025 on August 24, and only his fifth in the company in 2025, having previously spent much of 2024 and early 2025 on the sidelines with injury.

Ibushi re-signed a new two year deal with AEW in August.

We at WrestleTalk wish Kota Ibushi a safe and speedy recovery.
