AEW Star Suffers Dislocated Shoulder Injury

AEW Star Suffers Dislocated Shoulder Injury AEW

An injury suffered in AEW to a cross-promotional star has been confirmed via an official announcement from New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

One of the NJPW names who appears most regularly on AEW TV is Tomohiro Ishii, who at this point is an established member of The Conglomeration faction with Mark Briscoe, Willow Nightingale, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Hologram.

With Hologram recently going down with an injury, the group is now another member down, as NJPW has announced Ishii suffered a dislocated shoulder working for AEW two weeks ago.

NJPW writes:

On October 22, at an AEW event in San Antonio, Texas, Tomohiro Ishii sustained a dislocated right shoulder.

As a result, Ishii will miss action on forthcoming events, with his return to be determined.

We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Ishii wrestle, and appreciate your understanding. NJPW joins fans in wishing Ishii a full and fast recovery.

We send our best wishes to Ishii as he recovers from the injury setback.

He was not announced to be involved in the upcoming Blood & Guts match, although Conglomeration teammates Briscoe, Cassidy and O’Reilly are.

They team with Roderick Strong and Darby Allin against the Death Riders’ Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Pac, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta in Blood & Guts next week.
