AEW Star Talks Being Proud Of Matches With Ricochet

Ricochet is only of the most talented performers in wrestling. He made his name doing extremely impressive acrobatic moves in promotions around the world before signing with WWE. One of those promotions was New Japan Pro Wrestling where he teamed with AEW star Matt Sydal.

Sydal recently appeared on AEW Unrestricted where he discussed his time with Ricochet in New Japan. In short, he talked about how proud he was of their matches together. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:

“The moments we created in the match and the lead up to it, it really felt like I was out there doing my true purpose. That New Japan Junior Tag Championship run was sort of a four-way feud between myself and Ricochet, The Young Bucks, Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta and Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. These were matches that I was proud of every single night. We were just smashing it. We were just busting each other up. Having wild shootout matches that we really believed in, we were really proud of.”

Sydal and Ricochet’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship reigns took place during 2016.
