Matt Hardy Teases Fans Meeting The ‘New’ Jeff Hardy Soon AEW

AEW star Matt Hardy has teased fans meeting the “new” Jeff Hardy very soon.

In March 2022, All Elite Wrestling saw the arrival of Jeff Hardy after leaving WWE. He quickly joined forces with his brother Matt to reunite The Hardy Boyz.

However, the reunion tour was cut short after Jeff was arrested for DUI in June.

On the latest edition of “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Hardy had TNT Champion Wardlow on as a special guest with the champ expressing his desire to team with The Hardys in trios action.

This allowed Matt to open up about Jeff and say:

“[Teaming with Wardlow] sounds great. I’m pretty excited. We’re getting close to the point where we meet the new Jeff and we figure out his future and what he ends up doing. I’m pretty excited because I feel like his mentality is like — he knows he has to make some changes and do what’s right. I feel like he’s at a point where he will this time around. I’m excited to have him back and I think this would be amazing. It’d be so much fun.”

Jeff Hardy was suspended by AEW following his arrest and can’t return until completing substance abuse treatment.

On the September 14 edition of AEW Dynamite, Matt Hardy challenged Darby Allin to a match on Friday’s AEW Rampage, mentioning Allin’s previous bout against his brother.

This was the first time Jeff Hardy has been mentioned by name since the DUI arrest.

As previously mentioned, Jeff’s pre-trial hearing for the arrest will take place in October after submitting a written plea of “not guilty” in June.

Reportedly, Hardy has been seeking the substance abuse treatment that was recommended and is conditional to facilitate a return to AEW.
