Top AEW Star Title Win Leads To Partner Company Business Increase AEW

Following Wrestle Dynasty, Mercedes Mone’s RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship win led to RevPro’s business increase.

At NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty, Mercedes Mone defeated Mina Shirakawa to retain the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship and win the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.

This marked the third piece of championship gold that Mone has won over the course of the past year with the AEW TBS Championship and NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship.

With this victory, Mone is expected to make appearances in the UK for RevPro to defend her new title.

In a new interview with Tom Campbell of Cultaholic, RevPro owner Andy Quildan revealed that there had been an increase of subscribers for the company’s streaming service since Mercedes Mone won the Undisputed British Women’s Championship. He said:

“The reality of the situation is that Mercedes wants to be a difference maker.”

“She looks at something like Revolution Pro Wrestling and what we’re achieving against all odds and wants to be a part of that, and wants to help elevate that. There’s two sides in a partnership.”

“For us, we’ve got this opportunity to work with a globally recognised talent who is hopefully going to bring more eyeballs on to our product.”

“We’re already seeing it, our social media numbers have gone up substantially since Mercedes Moné has won that championship belt. Our OnDemand subscribers have gone up, believe it or not, and I guess this is just her fans wanting to check out the product, so we’re already starting to see that, the first step to being noticed is being mentioned.”

“The words ‘RevPro’ are on a lot more wrestling fans’ lips, be it positive, be it negative.”

“I stand by the fact that you watch a Revolution Pro Wrestling show you will become a fan of Revolution Professional Wrestling. So that is absolutely perfect, it’s a match made in heaven for us.”

Mercedes Mone is not the only AEW star who claimed another title during the Tokyo Dome weekend as AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita defeated Shingo Takagi to win the NJPW’s NEVER Openweight Championship.

Mone last wrestled for AEW in a win over Kris Statlander to retain the TBS Championship at Worlds End.
