An update on an absent AEW star on his recent projects including acting and voicing a new video game character.
Despite his absence from AEW, Samoa Joe continues to work on projects showcasing his talents, including a brand new video game.
Sharing a new trailer for the upcoming video game Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Samoa Joe wrote:
Allow me to Introduce you. His name is Raymond Law.
He is the Pirate king of Madlantis. His will shall not be denied! Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, releasing Feb 21st 2025 on Xbox, Playstation and Steam.
Samoa Joe has previously been the voice of King Shark in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League along with Juggernaut in Dota 2 and Dota Underlords.
Samoa Joe has been absent from AEW television since being written off in July after a feud with Chris Jericho.
Samoa Joe was driven through a wall whilst splayed out on a palette on a forklift ahead of his absence.
During his absence, Joe has reportedly been resuming his role as Sweet Tooth in the Twisted Metal television series with the character’s voice provided by Will Arnett.
Like A Dragon has past associations with AEW with Sega sponsoring a Street Fight on the November 15, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite.
