Following a lengthy absence, AEW star The Blade has shared an update after undergoing back fusion surgery.
The Blade has been absent from AEW and Ring of Honor programming since early February 2024.
In April, the AEW star stated on his Instagram that the road to recovery would be a long one after nursing a lower back injury from a fall back in 2020.
On September 10, The Blade took to his Instagram once again to share a video of himself in the hospital after undergoing back fusion surgery. He wrote the following caption:
Back fusion was a success 👍 Thank you to everyone for your continued support ❤️ Means a lot to this Grizzled Vet Utility Brother
Various AEW and WWE talent commented under the post to wish him best wishes, including The Young Bucks and NXT Champion Ethan Page.
It remains to be seen how long The Blade’s recovery from back fusion surgery will be at the time of this writing.
WrestleTalk would like to wish The Blade the best in his recovery.
