An AEW star wants to help build the brand of IMPACT Wrestling with their most recent return.
At IMPACT Victory Road, Frankie Kazarian made his return to IMPACT Wrestling by winning the Triple Threat Revolver Match to earn a shot at the X-Division Championship.
Kazarian has made various appearances for the company in 2021 and this year after leaving IMPACT in 2014.
Speaking with Metro, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion discussed his return to the promotion and noted that he felt right at home.
He said:
“I see a lot of the crew and the production people – guys and girls that I grew up with in the business. There’s still a part of that, kinda the old familiar – the faces have changed, the production is different, the regime is different, but it’s still IMPACT Wrestling. I still have roots there and I’ll do whatever I can to continue to help that brand. I’m where I am in a lot of ways because of what IMPACT Wrestling and TNA did for my career.”
Frankie Kazarian is a five-time X-Division Champion and three-time IMPACT World Tag Team Champion.
Kazarian will challenge Speedball Mike Bailey for the X-Division Champion at Bound For Glory on Friday, October 7.
