AEW Star Discusses The State Of WWE’s Women’s Tag Team Division WWE

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship changed hands on this week’s episode of Raw, when Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez picked up the victory over Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus, who was defending the titles on behalf of Lita.

After the match, Stratus turned heel on her partner, laying Becky out with a Chick Kick after the loss.

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa appeared on Busted Open Radio, where she named Trish Stratus as her wrestler of the week.

Rosa gave the honor to Stratus due to her making Liv Morgan look good during the bout, as well as pulling off a heel turn that got fans interested.

Speaking about the two’s upcoming feud, she said:

“Now [Trish Stratus] is going to help [Becky Lynch] become a super-duper babyface. If we can see a little bit of what Trish Stratus was when she was a heel, and make someone like ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch even more over, it’s money. It’s all money.”

Rosa then addressed the Women’s Tag Team Division as a whole, saying that she hopes that the company starts doing something with the titles following the change.

She said:

“I’m hoping that they really, really start doing something with these tag team titles, and they really develop something for these women, because they have really good tag teams. I just don’t feel like they take the time to develop this division.”

During her appearance, Rosa also discussed the recent comments by Britt Baker about her injury.
