AEW Stars Air Grievances On Twitter About Lack Of TV Time AEW

In an interesting mini-trend this afternoon (July 28) several AEW stars took to Twitter to air their grievances about their lack of TV time.

While only Ethan Page was quite so direct in his language, the reference seemed clear in Tweets also from Brian Cage and Sonny Kiss as well.

While neither Cage nor Sonny Kiss mentioned AEW directly nor frustration specifically with a lack of television time, Cage did touch on the “heartbreaking” feeling of “doing what you love, but not doing what you love,” which Sonny concurred.

With an incredibly stacked AEW roster, there has been criticism regarding the lack of available television time for some of the ‘AEW Originals’ that had been with the company nearer its inception.

While some critics argue that ‘ex-WWE guys’ have risen to prominence in AEW in such a way that it was effectively squeezed out other members of the roster, there has been some intriguing character developments on AEW Dynamite that may change that landscape.

With major storyline arcs either kicking off or continuing for some of the ‘homegrown’ AEW talent like Jungle Boy, Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Daniel Garcia and Darby Allin all heavily featured on this week’s (July 27) AEW Dynamite, there appeared to be an effort to continue telling compelling stories while utilizing AEW’s own young talent.

Ring of Honor is expected to reach a deal to broadcast some iteration of a weekly television program however no start date has yet been announced for the project.

Ethan Page will be in action on AEW Rampage, airing tomorrow night (July 29) where he is scheduled to take on Leon Ruffin.
