Another AEW star’s contract with the promotion is reportedly coming up some time this year, believed to be in “a few months”.
In a year that has already seen multiple big names depart AEW and potentially more to come, another popular star will have a decision to make.
As reported by Fightful Select, Willow Nightingale’s AEW contract is in her contract year.
The exact date of the contract expiration is unknown, but as noted, the belief is it’ll be coming up in “a few months”.
Sources have described Nightingale as a “priority” for AEW and every source indicated it’s a “guarantee” that she’ll be offered a new deal/extension.
Nightingale is said to be well liked, and the expectation in AEW is that the company will retain her.
There was no word in the report on whether there’s interest in Nightingale from any other companies.
Nightingale was most recently in action during last night’s episode of AEW Collision as she suffered a loss to Kris Statlander after outside interference from Marina Shafir, who targeted and attacked Nightingale.
