Since the reports emerged yesterday that Daniel Bryan is no longer with WWE after allowing his contract to expire, fans have been fantasy booking matches for the former WWE Champion with non-WWE contracted talent.
Many of the people that fans are fantasy booking Daniel Bryan in matches with are signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), leading some to suggest that Daniel Bryan could find himself working for Tony Khan.
However, Fightful Select is reporting that people on the AEW roster they have spoken to are of the belief that Daniel Bryan won’t be joining AEW, and will actually re-sign with WWE.
The site is even reporting that one AEW contracted wrestler they spoke with had heard that Daniel Bryan would be “staying with WWE”:
Two AEW talent we spoke with said they fully expect Bryan to remain with WWE, with one outright saying they’ve heard he’s staying with WWE. Of course we’ve not been able to confirm that, as it’s just speculation.
The future for Daniel Bryan remains unclear, but it’s interesting to note that people within AEW do not expect him to join the promotion, and are of the belief that he’s going to sign a new deal with WWE.
