AEW Stars To Compete In Interpromotional Tournament For Wrestle Dynasty AEW/NJPW

Ahead of the January 5 event, AEW stars are set to compete in a women’s tournament that will conclude at Wrestle Dynasty.

On January 5, 2025, NJPW, AEW, ROH, STARDOM and CMLL will hold a co-promotional event from the Tokyo Dome called Wrestle Dynasty.

On November 20, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced a women’s tournament named “the International Women’s Cup” that will feature stars from AEW, ROH, CMLL and STARDOM.

All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honor, CMLL and World Wonder Ring STARDOM will all have their own four-way qualifying matches to determine who will represent each promotion.

The four-way featuring a star from each company will be the finals that will take place at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5. The winner of the match will then get a title shot of their choosing.

The participants in the International Women’s Cup have not been announced at the time of this writing.

Wrestle Dynasty will also feature Zack Sabre Jr. versus Ricochet, Jack Perry facing Yota Tsuji and Tomohiro Ishii challenging Shingo Takagi or Konosuke Takeshita for the NEVER Openweight Championship.
