AEW Stars Suspended, Beach Break Match Changed

AEW have announced the suspension of FTR, and announced their replacements for the number 1 contenders battle royal.

As per a tweet from All Elite Wrestling, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are suspended for a week after their actions after the Jungle Boy vs Harwood match on Dynamite.

Noting that FTR’s suspension will last 1 week, AEW tweeted:

“Upon review of their conduct after the Jungle Boy v. Dax Harwood match, FTR are suspended from competition for 1 week, thus out of the #BeachBreak Tag Team Battle Royale. FTR are replaced by John Silver & Alex Reynolds on #AEWDynamite on @TNTDrama TOMORROW night at 8pm ET/7pm CT!”

After the Jungle Boy vs. Dax Harwood match, FTR and Tully Blanchard brutalised Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. The segment ended with FTR cutting Luchasaurus’ horns off, and threatening to cut Jungle Boy’s hair.

This suspension is most likely part of a storyline, however it is currently unclear whether this is a cover-up for FTR not being able to appear on Dynamite for another reason.

This week’s episode of Dynamite features the Tag Team Battle Royale, which promises to determine the challengers for the AEW Tag Team Championships at AEW Revolution.

FTR were originally scheduled to compete in this match, but due to their suspension, they have now been replaced by John Silver and Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order.

Other matches taking place tonight on AEW Dynamite: Beach Break include Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers vs. Jon Moxley, Fenix, & PAC in 6-man action, and Eddie Kingston vs. Lance Archer in a Lumberjack match.
