Top AEW Stars Seemingly Turn Heel On Dynamite

We seemingly saw two top AEW stars turn heel on tonight’s (January 18) episode of AEW Dynamite.

On last week’s show, the highly anticipated tag team match between Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter against Saraya and her mystery partner took place.

The prior week, Saraya had chosen Toni Storm as her partner in an interview with Renee Paquette, rejecting Hikaru Shida.

During the match, Shida came to the ring and slid a Kendo Stick into the ring, which ultimately cost Saraya and Storm the match.

On this week’s show, ahead of Toni Storm’s match with Willow Nightingale, Saraya called Shida ‘idiotic’ for her actions in the tag match, and told her to stay in the back.

Shida came out to ringside during the match anyway, which led to another tongue lashing from Saraya. Saraya then aided Storm to pick up the win over Willow.

After the match, Saraya jumped into the ring to assault Willow, before Toni Storm joined in. Ruby Soho then ran out from the back to save Willow while Shida watched on conflicted.
