Well, it was fun while it lasted.
While AEW initially billed the combination of Jungle Boy Jack Perry and HOOK as a “one night only” pairing, the two incredibly popular singles stars were well received as a team.
And although they did go on to team together again, now it seems we’ve reached the end of the cruise for JungleHOOK.
Jungle Boy revealed that he was planning on flying solo for the rest of 2023 in a backstage segment on tonight’s AEW Dynamite (February 1).
Noting that he’s already done the tag team thing, he plans to forge ahead on his own from now on.
No report is known if HOOK is now available to resume his occasional tag team partnership with Danhausen to reform another fan favorite duo in HOOKHausen.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite (February 1) Darby Allin is set to put his TNT Championship on the line against Samoa Joe in a No Disqualification match.
