AEW Star Says He’s Done With Tag Teams

AEW Star Says He’s Done With Tag Teams AEW

One AEW star has gone on the record to say they “definitely not” be getting back into a tag team now that he has gone solo.

AEW star Ricky Starks got a segment of in-ring promo time on AEW Rampage during which he declared his entrance in the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament at Full Gear.

While the winner of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament will win an AEW World Championship title shot at Winter is Coming, Ricky Starks has his eyes set on multiple prizes.

Fielding questions at a virtual signing with The Wrestling Asylum Store, Ricky Starks was queried about his championship aspirations.

Namely, the other big championships within All Elite Wrestling.

Starks said:

“That [All-Atlantic Title] is well within my reach as well.

So is the AEW Championship, heavyweight championship and TNT. There is no reason why I can’t have all three.”

In pursuit of the TNT Championship, Starks could come face to face with a former friend turned foe.

When asked if he would be interested in being in another tag team, Starks had a resounding no, saying:

“Definitely not [Starks said when asked if he sees himself getting back into a tag team].

Yeah, no tag team for me. Just gonna stay solo dolo. But you know, TNT [Title] is also another thing I wanna take on so, I’m trying to go for that as well.”

Ricky Starks suffered a heartbreaking betrayal by former partner Powerhouse Hobbs, the latter of whom has recently been instigating the current TNT Champion, Wardlow.
