AEW Dynamite Fright Night saw new tag team champions crowned after Private Party defeated the Young Bucks.
Highlights from the match can be seen below this news story, with Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy celebrating in the ring before receiving a show of support from the Young Bucks.
With a potential Private Party loss seeing the team having to split, the victory keeps them together with their first AEW championship.
Tony Khan has reflected on the victory on social media, noting that it was “5 years in the making“.
Kassidy has shared a similar sentiment in a tweet of his own, along with a photo of the belt, as can be seen below, tweeting:
“5 years in the making…
“We finally did it”
Private Party signed with AEW in April 2019 and made their debut at Fyter Fest on June 29 of that year.
They had previously faced the Young Bucks for the World Tag Team Championship at AEW WrestleDream on October 12, 2024.
Following AEW WrestleDream, it was reported that there were some in the company who wanted Private Party to win the championship at that PPV.
