An AEW name has addressed the surprise post-Dynamite moment that took place at the 2300 Arena on Wednesday.

After the August 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, the show’s roster was joined by Tony Khan as they celebrated Taz in the former ECW Arena.

With Taz being inducted into The 2300 Arena Hardcore Hall of Fame on this week’s AEW Collision, the veteran commentator would be left reveal he had been “kayfabed” by his own son, HOOK, and wife before sharing his love of the company, Tony Khan and the fans.

Taz, having admitted to being left speechless by the surprise announcement, has now addressed the moment in on Twitter, posting:

“I was completely blindsided & extremely surprised after this acknowledgment for me in Philadelphia last night at 2300 Arena.

“THANK YOU @TonyKhan & @aew production, all the talent on the roster for taking the time to acknowledge my contributions to the industry, all the fans & that you made sure my wife and son were there right next to me last night during it!

“Words cannot describe what this meant to me …thank you. Very much appreciated! 🙏”

Having last been seen on screen back in April, HOOK made his return on the recent episode of AEW Dynamite at The 2300 Arena.
