An AEW star has provided a health update following their recent return on last night’s episode of Dynamite.
Absent since October of last year, Taz would reveal that he was set to undergo “total shoulder replacement surgery” and would be absent from his commentary duties as a result.
The January 21 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Taz back on the commentary table, with an update on his current health also emerging.
Asked by a fan if he was “100% healthy” on Twitter, Taz would provide an update, stating:

In 2025, Taz was inducted into the Hardcore Hall of Fame at the 2300 Arena, the former home of ECW.
As previously reported, Taz’s recent surgery comes almost a year after he underwent knee replacement.
WrestleTalk wishes Taz well as he recovers from his shoulder replacement surgery.
Taz is a former two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion and was the inaugural (and two-time) FTW Heavyweight Champion, with that title being brought into AEW.
In AEW, HOOK would hold the FTW Championship for three reigns, with the title being deactivated at Dynamite: Grand Slam in September 2024.
