An AEW team might have just broken up on AEW Dark, less than a week before the highly anticipated Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
On Tuesday’s show, Brian Cage defeated Sonny Kiss in singles action. After the contest, Kiss was attacked by Team Taz member Hook.
Joey Janela initially came out to assist his tag-team partner. Upon reaching the ring, Janela had second thoughts, before abandoning Kiss.
Janela slowly walked backstage as Kiss was choked out by Hook, as Cage watched on.
AEW took to Twitter with a clip of the the aftermath:

Janela and Kiss have been regularly working as a tandem since March 2020. Their latest tag-team bout took place earlier this month on AEW Dark against The Acclaimed.
AEW Double or Nothing will air on Fite on May 30 at 8pm ET. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston will face The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship at the pay-per-view event.
Shortly after this match was announced, an AEW star “quit” wrestling after being denied a title shot.
