AEW
Several stars from AEW, TNA and other promotions have officially entered the free agency market following the expiries of their respective contracts.
In a new report from Fightful Select it was confirmed that six new stars are officially free to move where they see fit in 2024.
First of which is QT Marshall, who has now departed AEW after playing an important role as a wrestler and coach since 2019.
A primary reason for Marshall’s departure was his adamance in competing as an in-ring competitor, something he had little opportunity to do in the company.
Another AEW star who has exited the company is Shawn Spears, someone who similarly to Marshall confirmed the expiry of their contract in a post on social media.
Lastly from AEW is Andrade El Idolo, who’s departure was confirmed by Tony Khan at the Worlds End post-show media scrum.
Fightful report that while Andrade is hitting the free agent market, it won’t be for long as he is “expected” to join WWE “immediately”.
Moving away from AEW, the post also confirms Deonna Purrazzo’s departure from TNA, with the former Knockouts Champion expected to sign elsewhere “imminently”, however, no further information on where she will land was given.
While Purrazzo’s loss will be felt significantly in TNA, the same can be said of NWA and their former long-tenured Women’s Champion Kamille.
Kamille is now also free to move elsewhere, with the 31-year-old previously expressing an interest in joining WWE in the future.
Lastly, Fightful also confirmed that Alex Hammerstone has now finished up with MLW, with the promotion’s former world champion reportedly negotiating his exit at the end of 2023 despite previously having multiple years left on his prior deal.
