AEW TNT Championship Future Following Adam Copeland Serious Injury Update AEW

Following Adam Copeland’s serious injury at Double Or Nothing, an update has been provided on the future of the AEW TNT Championship.

At AEW Double Or Nothing 2024, Adam Copeland defeated Malakai Black to retain the TNT Championship in a Barbwire Steel Cage Match.

During the course of the bout, Copeland leaped off the top of the steel cage to deliver an elbow drop on Black who was on a table wrapped in barbwire. However, Copeland landed on his feet first in the process.

On May 28, Copeland took to social media to post a video where he revealed that he suffered a fractured tibia and required surgery.

Ahead of tonight’s May 29 edition of AEW Dynamite, the company announced that AEW EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of The Young Bucks will address the future of the TNT Title on tonight’s show. The tweet reads:

Meanwhile, Jon Moxley will face Rocky Romero in an IWGP World Heavyweight Title Eliminator Match and Mariah May will go one-on-one with Saraya.
