An AEW star has revealed that they are ‘nervous’ about an upcoming stipulation match set to take place at this year’s Grand Slam Australia.
Returning to Australia on February 14, AEW Grand Slam takes place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
With Toni Storm teaming up with Orange Cassidy to take on Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir) in a mixed tornado tag match, a stipulation has been revealed for the encounter, with the loser of the fall getting their head shaved.
Storm enters Grand Slam Australia with her family in attendance, something that has caused a degree of nervousness in the New Zealand-born star.
During a recent interview with Compas on the Beat, Storm revealed how potential excitement has been replaced by nerves, saying:
“Now I would normally be very excited, but a lot is at stake here.
“I’m not just potentially getting my head shaved in front of America, a lot of bad things have happened to me in America, you’re used to it. But in front of my fellow countrymen, in front of my grandmother, I’ll never live it down.
“I can’t let this happen. Everyone will be there. This is the most nervous I’ve ever been for a match.”
