Having last been seen in the ring at AEW All In London, Toni Storm has been absent from television but will be appearing elsewhere.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion recently announced that she will be returning to Stardom on October 5, 2024.
Her return will see her face Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship in her first Stardom match since July 2019.
Storm has now been confirmed for another appearance with Stardom confirming the news on Twitter (via Google Translate), tweeting:
“🔥 “Timeless” Toni Storm from AEW will make a surprise appearance at the Korakuen Hall event on Saturday, September 28th ‼
“September 28th (Saturday) Korakuen Hall
“September 29th (Sun) NEW BLOOD 15 Tokorozawa, Saitama”
The official Stardom website provides additional information on what Storm will be doing on Saturday, stating:
“[Storm] will team up with Mina Shirakawa to clash with Mayu Iwatani & AZM!
“They will face off in a tag match ahead of the IWGP Women’s Championship match at the Aichi Dolphins Arena event on Saturday, October 5th!”
Storm faced Shirakawa at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in June 2024, retaining her Women’s World Championship in that match.
They AEW Dynamite before Forbidden Door saw Storm team with Shirakawa and Mariah May to beat Anna Jay & The Outcasts (Harley Cameron & Saraya).
In Stardom, Storm was a former SWA World Champion and World of Stardom Champion leaving the company to sign with WWE in May 2018.
