Two AEW names have donated a huge amount to the GoFundMe campaign for the late Bushwhacker Butch of WWE fame.
Bushwhacker Butch (Robert Miller) passed away at the age of 78 on April 2 2023.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up to raise funds “to cover the medical bills and needs for funeral services.”
At the time of writing, the campaign has raised $23,565 with two AEW names among the top donors.
As you can see in the “top donations” list on the GoFundMe page, AEW’s Tony Khan and Chris Jericho have each donated $5,000 to the campaign.
Per the GoFundMe campaign description:
“In 1988, Miller and Williams joined the WWF. They dropped their violent heel personas to become The Bushwhackers, a family friendly comedy act for the midcard. They shortened their names in this period to just Butch and Luke.
“The Bushwhackers never held gold in the WWF, but had pay-per-view matches with teams like The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, The Natural Disasters, and The Beverly Brothers, in addition to regularly appearing in comic sketches on the company’s Coliseum Video releases.”
Their time in the WWE would come to an end in 1996, though the pair would still perform as a tag team, including making appearances on ECW as Luke & Butch Dudley.
The Bushwhackers were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2015.
Highlights from their WWE Hall of Fame speech can be seen below this news story.
