AEW announced this year’s edition of the AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament, culminating at Full Gear.
The first match of the tournament took place on tonight’s (November 9) episode of AEW Dynamite in Boston.
The match pit The Firm’s Ethan Page, with Stokely Hathaway by his side, against Eddie Kingston.
In the end, Eddie submitted Page, but Stokely distracted the referee, who didn’t see the submission.
Page then went to the top rope, and hit an Ego’s Edge on Eddie from the top rope to advance to the semis.
Page will face the winner of the Bandido vs Rush match in the semi-finals.
The other quarter final matches will take place on this week’s Rampage, and will see Bandido take on Rush, Ricky Starks face Lance Archer and Brian Cage battle Dante Martin.
