AEW has filed two intriguing trademarks with meat-related properties, suggesting use outside of the more traditional wrestling sphere.

Readers may remember that, back in early 2024, the “Meat Madness” match was announced, with a later filing for the term submitted to the USPTO.

While AEW fans would be robbed of the aforementioned alliterative altercation, new trademark applications have emerged with a meat-based theme.

New filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office have been submitted for the terms “AEW Bacon Brawl” and “Bacon Brawl”.

Unfortunately, in both cases, the terms aren’t being applied to an AEW pay-per-view or special episode of Dynamite.

Under US Serial Number 99410518, the term “AEW Bacon Brawl” has been registered against the following Goods and Services:

“Non-electric cookware, namely, pots, pans, and dishes; Flatware being plates and saucers; Drinkware; Cups; Mugs; Utensils for barbecues, namely, forks, tongs, turners; Kitchen containers”

“Shirts; Pants; T-shirts; Sweatshirts; Shorts; Headwear; Footwear; Socks; Undergarments”

“Prepared meals consisting primarily of meat, fish, poultry or vegetables”

“Bacon Brawl” has been registered separately, under US Serial Number 99410528, with the same Goods and Services categories.

At the time of writing, it isn’t known when fans can get their hands on Bacon Brawl-related paraphernalia.

As for Meat Madness, Lance Archer has previously reflected on the scrapped match, which would have taken place in March last year.

Over in WWE, a trademark application was recently submitted for the term “Invasion” in the wake of this week’s episode of NXT.
