AEW has filed to trademark a new faction name following a big win for the group at the All Out 2025 pay-per-view.
AEW All Out came to Toronto, Canada’s Scotiabank Arena this past Saturday (September 20), and featured a match between The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin & MVP) and the trio of Ricochet & Gates of Agony (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun).
During their ring introduction for the match AEW announcer Justin Roberts referred to Ricochet, Liona & Kaun as “The Demand”, with commentary confirming that this was in fact the official name for their faction.
Now, AEW has officially filed a trademark application for “The Demand” with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).
The filing description is as follows:
“Conducting entertainment exhibitions in the nature of professional wresting exhibitions and performances by professional wrestlers, namely, performances by a team of wrestlers during professional wrestling events; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances”
The Demand picked up the win over The Hurt Syndicate at AEW All Out, with Ricochet pinning MVP following the Spirit Gun.
This marked the first time The Hurt Syndicate collectively had been beaten via pinfall since debuting in the company, with their only prior defeat as a group coming via their loss of the AEW World Tag Team Championships to Brodido at Forbidden Door 2025, however, neither Lashley or Benjamin were involved in the fall in that match.
