People in AEW are reportedly “very upset” with a particular star after a brutal botch during last night’s episode of Dynamite that led to an injury.
Sammy Guevara and Matt Hardy brawled around the ringside area, and Guevara threw a chair at Hardy’s head, splitting it open and leading to him requiring 13 stitches.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez said that Guevara got a very stern talking to following the segment. He said:
“Well Matthew Hardy got about 10 stitches afterwards and Sammy got a very stern talking to by a number of people afterwards who were very upset with this. Obviously he was not supposed to throw the chair full-force into Matt Hardy’s head, I don’t know what happened, probably got excited, but that was brutal.”
Guevara only returned to AEW a couple of weeks ago after being suspended due to innapropriate comments he made several years ago. Despite all the blood and stitches, as of the latest word, Hardy was said to be doing okay.
