AEW International Champion Jon Moxley has revealed what Vince McMahon said to him in their last conversation with one another.
While Moxley gained a lot of popularity in WWE as ‘Dean Ambrose’, the former WWE Champion has arguably had the run of his career since leaving in 2019, winning gold in AEW, NJPW, and a number of independent promotions.
Moxley most recently won gold at All Out 2023, defeating Orange Cassidy to win the AEW International Title.
Speaking with Bleav Pro Wrestling, Jon Moxley noted that in his last conversation with Vince McMahon, the former WWE owner told Moxley that he took him for granted.
Moxley noted:
“I take a lot of pride in our work and our work ethic and the standard we set ourselves to, and the way we do the job. To be one of those guys that’s reliable, that’s always there, the downside is that it’s very easy to take you for granted.
“The last conversation I had with Vince McMahon, he straight up told me, we took you for granted.
“It is a tough job because I got a lot of experience, a lot of stuff is very familiar to me and I’m comfortable doing stuff that a lot of other people may be intimated by.”
Another ex-WWE star has called out an AEW name, teasing that he will confront him on Dynamite.
