Update On Status Of Being The Elite With New AEW/WBD TV Deal Being the Elite

With news of the new deal between AEW and WBD trickling through, the status of Being The Elite has been revealed.

It had previously been reported that the upcoming AEW Collision show was the product of a cash infusion from WBD with further details on the deal planned to be announced ‘around the time of’ the Warner Upfronts, set to take place next Wednesday (May 17).

With both AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation both coming to an end for the time being due to “AEW signing a new deal for AEW Collision to air on Saturdays” and plans for “AEW wrestling content (to) exclusively air on WBD”, the positioning of spin-off content such as Being The Elite has been drawn into the spotlight.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), it is reported that:

“What is known is that the deal will encompass all television and streaming programming that has the AEW banner, but not ROH, which is considered a separate company.

“That would be five hours of wrestling programming per week, the two hours on Wednesday on TBS, one hour on Friday on TNT and the two hours on Saturday on TNT, as well as any and all spinoff programming other than Being the Elite, which is expected to be kept as something separate since it’s a property owned by the Young Bucks.”

AEW currently air AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, AEW Rampage of Friday and will air AEW Collision on Saturday.

AEW All Access is a six-part “reality show” that aired on TBS after AEW Dynamite, featuring a “behind the scenes” look at the lives of some of the company’s top stars.

Being The Elite is a YouTube series created by Nick Jackson in February 2016 that has grown to include not only his brother Matt  Jackson and fellow member of The Elite Kenny Omega, but appearances from a wealth of wrestling talent over the years.
