It’s now less than four weeks until AEW debuts its weekly tv show on TNT, so it’s now time to think about what sort of thing we should expect from the show.
We don’t have a name for the show other than “All Elite Wrestling”, but we do now know that we can expect a more “edgy” product.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that AEW TV will have a PG-14 rating, just like WWE did before it became a PG product.
Fans might expect to see a lot more blood on AEW TV, but don’t get too carried away just yet.
“TNT has given them specific bylaws regarding what lines they can’t cross, but both sides have agreed to do a more edgy and risque product than WWE.”
With WWE still aiming for a much more family friendly product, AEW will be aiming to bring in fans who have perhaps lost interest in the lack of extreme violence that WWE airs.
We’ll have to wait and see exactly how far the promotion pushes the limits of PG-14 when the show debuts on October 2.
