AEW’s Wheeler Yuta Unsuccessful In First NJPW Best Of The Super Juniors 29 Bout AEW

Here are the results from the second night of Best of the Super Juniors 29 action, featuring AEW star Wheeler Yuta’s first tournament match.

During the show, Yuta faced off against former IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion Robbie Eagles. In the closing moments of the bout, Yuta appeared to attempt to hit Jon Moxley’s Death Rider/Paradigm Shift, but Eagles ultimately reversed and rolled up the ROH Pure Champ for the victory.

Yuta paid homage to his Blackpool Combat Club teammates on many occasions, notably hitting Eagles with repeated strikes in a Bryan Danielson-esque manner.
