AEW has announced a #1 contenders match for Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, set to determine the next challenger for the AEW Women’s Championship.
On Dynamite, Thunder Rosa will face off against Leyla Hirsch. The winner of the bout will go on to challenge for the AEW Women’s Title at Dynamite: St Patrick’s Day Slam on March 16.
Leyla Hirsch defeated Kris Statlander during the AEW Revolution Buy-In, hitting Statlander with a spare turnbuckle behind the referee’s back. On the main show, Britt Baker defeated Thunder Rosa to retain her gold.
A TNT Championship match is also scheduled for Wednesday’s show, with Sammy Guevara set to defend against Scorpio Sky. The winner will go on to defend the title against Face of the Revolution Wardlow at St Patrick’s Day Slam.
