An AEW Women’s Championship match has been announced for the upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
On Wednesday’s (May 4) edition of Dynamite, Thunder Rosa was confronted by Serena Deeb. Following a verbal back-and-forth, AEW confirmed that Rosa will defend her gold against Deeb in Las Vegas.
Rosa and Deeb notably feuded across AEW and NWA in late 2020, with Deeb defeating Rosa for the NWA Women’s Championship in October 2020, and defending it against Rosa on Dynamite that November.
Deeb hasn’t lost a match this year so far, most recently defeating Hikaru Shida in a street fight on last week’s Dynamite.
Also at Double or Nothing, Hangman Page will defend the AEW World Championship against CM Punk.
Reacting to Page’s passionate AEW Dynamite promo, Punk has vowed to win the AEW World Title with an iconic move.
