During the final episode of The Road to Double or Nothing, details were revealed about the AEW World Championship.
While it was known that the winner of the Casino Battle Royale would receive a shot at the title, it was not clear who that shot would be against. We now know that they will challenge the winner of the Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho match to try and become the inaugural AEW World Champion.
The design of the title has been teased on the show in the past. The title’s design was partially visible through a piece of paper during episode six. Brandi Rhodes also mentioned that they had hoped the title would be as big as the Mid-South Wrestling North American Heavyweight Championship.
During this most recent episode, Jack Whitehall attempted to remove the belt from its bag but was unable to do so. Claiming the belt was too heavy, he stated that fans will just have to take his word for it. The AEW World Championship will likely be unveiled at Double or Nothing on May 25th.
