The winner of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament was officially crowned on tonight’s (November 23) AEW Dynamite.
The final match of the tournament took place on the show, pitting Ricky Starks against Ethan Page.
The final was originally slated to take place at AEW Full Gear, but Starks’ first round clash with Lance Archer was delayed due to an injury to Starks.
Starks defeated Archer on last week’s AEW Rampage, and Brian Cage on the Full Gear Zero Hour pre-show to earn his spot in the final.
Page picked up a first round victory over Eddie Kingston and a semi-final victory over Bandido to reach the final.
In the end, it was a beaten and battered Ricky Starks who managed to overcome Page, crowning him the winner of the tournament.
The victory earns Starks an AEW World Championship match against MJF at AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming.
MJF is set to make his first appearance as the world champion on next week’s episode of Dynamite.
