New AEW Signing Targets World Championship Match At All In Texas

New AEW Signing Targets World Championship Match At All In Texas AEW

A new AEW signing has targeted an AEW World Championship match at the upcoming All In Texas pay-per-view next year.

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley made his debut for AEW at the end of the Fright Night Dynamite episode of Dynamite last month, joining up with the Hurt Syndicate, and laying out Swerve Strickland.

Lashley competed in his first AEW match on this week’s Dynamite show, with him set to face Swerve at tonight’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view.

With Lashley making his AEW pay-per-view debut tonight, he already has one eye on next year’s All In event in Texas.

Speaking on the Lame Guys Podcast, Lashley targeted being in a World Championship match at next year’s All In event.

He said:

“I want to be either defending the title or fighting for the title. I’ve won the ECW Title, WWE Title, TNA Title. AEW Title. I want to get it because I can, based on history, background, and who I am, I can have that title and it would be justified. More importantly, it’s something for other guys to work towards.

“I’m not an easy person to get to. When you get to it, you don’t necessarily want to be there. I want to get the title match and I win and win, but now I have the title match and it’s ‘Oh shit.’ Once I do that, I think it would be good for a lot of people at AEW to have that immovable object to get over. I can be that for a lot of people.”
