The AEW World Championship match for the upcoming Dynasty pay-per-view on Sunday, April 6 is now officially set.
Going back to Revolution, Swerve Strickland defeated Ricochet in a #1 contenders match.
The question was then who Strickland would be challenging at Dynasty – Jon Moxley or Adam Copeland.
Moxley retained against Cope in the main event of Revolution, but a street fight rematch was soon announced for tonight’s March 19 episode of Dynamite.
Tonight’s street fight saw Moxley retain once again, confirming it will be him against Strickland for the title at AEW Dynasty.
After the match, Dax Harwood, who had come out alongside FTR tag partner Cash Wheeler and Willow Nightingale to help fend off Moxley’s Death Riders, was visibly frustrated with Cope.
Harwood declined to help Cope to his feet and walked out on him, with Wheeler clearly not happy about Harwood’s actions and staying back with Nightingale to help Cope after Harwood had walked off to the back.
Also confirmed for Dynasty as of tonight is Kenny Omega defending the AEW International Championship against both Ricochet and Speedball Mike Bailey in a three-way match.
